This year is marked by great expectations for Spanish agri-food companies—an optimistic view based on the excellent results of recent years. Made in Spain products are already in fashion, and their quality is recognized in foreign markets. These outlooks are backed up by data. A recent report published by the Chambers of Commerce confirmed that Spanish companies will have reason to celebrate in 2014: the number of exporting companies, and the value of their exports, are both expected to increase.
However, that's not the only good news as we enter the new year; 2014 also brings with it our first newsletter of the year. In this edition, we include an interesting article about the table olive industry and the foreign market's importance for Spanish companies in that sector.
We also feature an interview with Barbadillo Asociados, a consulting firm specialized in franchises, a business model it considers to be the most profitable in times of crisis. This topic is particularly fitting, as Spanish hospitality companies can use that model to conquer the world with typical Spanish tapas and gastronomy.
Have a great week and happy new year!
