Provacuno kicks off promotional campaign in Arab countries editorial team

The Spanish Interprofessional Organization for Beef (Provacuno) kicked off a promotional campaign in Arab countries and in the north of Africa this November. It started in Egypt, where it aimed to establish, strengthen and reinforce commercial ties with the industry. To that end, it organized a presentation on Spanish beef aimed at leading Egyptian chefs, hosted by the prestigious Egyptian Chefs Association. During that event, Spanish chefs Kisko García and Fernando del Cerro highlighted Spanish beef's versatility in traditional and avant-garde dishes and its ability to be used in line with Egyptian culinary customs.

On November 8th, the Spanish Embassy organized a presentation entitled "Beef from Spain," which focused on the distinguishing characteristics of every element in Spain's beef production chain. The event catered to leading Egyptian importers, the authorities, the media and key opinion leaders. Attendees were also invited a reception with drinks as well as snacks made with Spanish beef.

The focus then shifted to Foodex Saudi, in Saudi Arabia, which was held from November 12th to the 15th. This is one of the most important events in the Arab world for the global agri-food sector. Provacuno had a stand at Foodex and was accompanied by a large group of Spanish companies. The goal was to strengthen the presence of Spanish beef in a demanding market such as Saudi Arabia, which only recently opened its borders.

Foodex Saudi is the perfect place to showcase agri-food products with added value for the Arab world, an extremely important destination for those sectors that stand out for their quality products, such as Spanish beef. More than 200 companies from 32 counties participated, and previous editions welcomed close to 8,000 professional importers.
