Adding value to spanish exports

Matarromera winery represents Spain at a United Nations event editorial team

Matarromera was chosen to represent Spain at an official reception for the 192 national delegations at the United Nations as part of a campaign rolled out by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs to promote Spain's candidacy as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council in 2015-2016.

The event, held in New York and in celebration of Spain's national day, included a reception on October 13th at the residence of the Permanent Representative of Spain to the United Nations, organized by the Minister for Foreign Affairs, José Manuel García Margallo.

The decision to choose Matarromera winery, from DO Ribera del Duero, confirms its excellence and gives the company the opportunity to represent one of the most cutting-edge sectors in Spain, which is a world leader in terms of wine production and vineyard surface area.

International leader

Just a few weeks ago, Matarromera was included among the Top 100 Wineries of the Year, a ranking by US magazine Wine & Spirits, one of the leading publications of its kind at home and abroad. The awards evaluated and recognized the best overall scores in tastings during the course of 2014.

Matarromera has been raising the profile of Spanish wine abroad since its creation 26 years ago in Valladolid. The company currently sells its products in over 70 countries on five continents.
