Matarromera Group launches WIN 5.0 to conquer female consumers

Wiki Spanish Food editorial team

Matarromera Group, a bodega known for its innovation in regular and alcohol-free wine production, has launched WIN 5.0, a fresh, semi-sparkling Verdejo wine that is low in alcohol, the goal being to win over female consumers.

WIN 5.0 is a DO Rueda wine made with 90% Verdejo and 10% Sauvignon Blanc grapes from the company's vineyards in Villalba de Adaja.

This wine was launched to meet market demand for this type of product. It is the result of a careful grape harvest. The must is stored at low temperature and fermentation yields 5% alcohol, thereby preserving the natural CO2 from the fermentation process and eliminating the need for artificial gasification. This fresh wine preserves the acidity typical of Verdejo wines, but it acquires a natural sweetness which adds more intense tropical aromas.

It has the typical aromas of a Verdejo, such as green apple, citrus notes, white flowers, rose petals and tropical fruit (pineapple, passion fruit, etc.). On the palate it is strong and very refreshing, with a long and lasting finish.

Sales in Spain and abroad

Sales of WIN 5.0 will begin immediately in Spain, in hotels and restaurants as well as department stores, the goal being to meet demand for this type of product in summer.

Matarromera Group also plans to offer it in many of the more than 70 countries where it already sells its various wines.

As a result, the company will continue to expand the broad range of wines it produces and sells, including whites, rosés and reds from four Designations of Origin as well as organic, sparkling, alcohol-free (under its EminaZero label), and low-alcohol wines.
