The Interprofessional Palmípedas Grasas Organization (Interpalm) is an agri-food group recognized by the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Food and the Environment via Order MARM/291/2010, of 3 February 2010, published in the Official State Gazette on 15 February 2010.
Interpalm is a member of the sector's European federation, Euro Foie Gras, which is comprised of associations from Belgium, Bulgaria, Spain, France and Hungary. The association includes companies involved in the production, preparation and sale of duck and goose in Spain, and works to raise awareness about the agri-food chain to benefit consumers.
Interpalm represents, manages and protects the professional and/or business interests of its members; improves the quality of products and all of the processes involved in the food chain through monitoring of production through to consumption; promotes products made from ducks and geese; researches breeding techniques and new product development; and improves the transparency and efficacy of markets.
