Fruit Attraction 2018 will look after the intellectual rights

Fruit Attraction will launch "Against Copy", a service to ensure the intellectual, industrial and brand rights of exhibiting companies and professional visitors as well as to provide a patent service and information on the new Data Protection law.

The prestigious firm PONS IP will be responsible for this task which is a commitment to quality, by offering legal defence and action against companies that copy.

With “Against Copy”, the Fair intends that the products and services it exhibits comply with current regulations.  To ensure that this is the case, during the whole exhibition –from 23 to 25 October–, a specialised legal office will assist exhibitors with grievances and complaints against businesses in their fight against intellectual, industrial and brand rights.

Also, a location will be provided so that participants who want to provide samples of boxes or copied products to bring their attention to the professional sector, can display them in an area designated for this purpose.

In terms of the vision of the Fair as a global service to the industry, the event will ensure compliance with regulations and respective approvals, guaranteeing that exhibited products meet all legal and quality requirements.  Therefore, a stand could be closed if the products exhibited on it were the object of a court ruling that called for their withdrawal from the market. This service, which guarantees success due to other fairs organised by IFEMA, is an added guaranteed value against possible conflicts between exhibiting companies and the other participants.
