WIN 5.0 Rosé comes to market

Wiki Spanish Food editorial team

Grupo Matarromera, an innovative winemaker on the cutting edge of wine and alcohol-free wine production, has launched WIN 5.0 Rosé, a semi-sparkling, fresh, low-alcohol wine, following the success of its WIN 5.0 sparkling Verdejo wine, which has sold 150,000 bottles  since its release in June.

WIN 5.0 Rosé is made with 80% Tempranillo and 20% Verdejo grapes from the company's vineyards in Cubillas de Santa Marta, in DO Cigales. It is the result of a careful grape harvest. The must is stored at low temperatures and fermentation yields 5% alcohol, thereby preserving the natural CO2 from the fermentation process and eliminating the need for artificial gasification. This wine was launched to meet market demand for this type of product, the consumers of which are mainly women, and in view of the holidays, during which time the company expects to sell 70,000 bottles

WIN 5.0 Rosé is a clean, very bright wine which is cherry red in color with a purplish sheen. It has aromas of red fruit, such as strawberries and raspberries, and pitted fruit such as peach, with lavender touches. On the palate, it's refreshing and pleasant, with the perfect balance of acidity, sweetness and effervescence.

National and international

Sales of WIN 5.0 will begin immediately in Spain, in both hotels and restaurants as well as department stores, the goal being to meet demand for this type of product. Matarromera Group also plans to offer it in many of the more than 70 countries where it already sells its various wines.
