Ifema-Feria de Madrid and the National Meat Processing Industries Association of Spain (ANICE), have announced the second edition of the Meat Sector Trade Fair Meat Attraction that will take place from Tuesday, 18 September to Thursday, 20 September 2018, in Hall 4 at Feria de Madrid.
On 13 November, the Organising Committee met at IFEMA to set the dates of the next meeting in light on the very positive participation figures of the first edition, which took place from 18 to 20 October this year. This is the first professional trade fair in Spain specifically for the meat sector, which the country’s fourth-most-important industry, with a turnover of 22,600 million euro, which this year brought together 242 exhibitors and represented companies from 16 countries, and more than 9,000 trade visitors.
Meat Attraction had a great reception from the sector, which was delighted with the results of the first edition, fulfilling its aim to be a platform for promoting this important segment of the economy and, specifically, internationalization, particularly in the case of SMES.
On this subject, it is important to mention that the fair receives a lot of support from the sector, represented by the Organising Committee, which includes the sector's main associations and bodies, as well as the leading industry firms.
Meat Attraction is inviting all parties involved in the production process (including slaughterhouses, cutting plants, processing industries, companies specialising in storage and transportation, and marketing and distribution to domestic and foreign markets), and the offer (producers, processors and distributors of meat and meat products, industry suppliers and meat distributors) back to the next edition.
The event articulates its offer around the meat, meat derivatives, meats and derivatives with quality marks, organic certification and Halal and Kosher certification, and industry suppliers and meat distribution.
Finally, the Meat Sector Trade Fair, Meat Attraction, will strengthen the professional buyers programme with B2B meetings.
