At the largest gourmet food fair in Europe, some exhibitors go back year after year and others participate for the very first time, but together they comprise a wonderful group that brings together singularity, excellence, innovation, and passion for a job well done.
This year there were 1,422 exhibitors (22.1% more than in 2014), 35,000 products on display, more than 1,100 product launches and 22,000 m2 of exhibition space. A total of 84,117 professionals attended (up 5.2% with respect to 2014), in search of the trends for the new year and eager to participate in the traditional activities held annually at Salón de Gourmets.
Exhibitors from outside Spain increased by 50% and the business volume generated is estimated to have reached 192 million euros, confirming that the fair has become more international than ever. Institutions had a large presence this year as well, with more than 300 authorities, among them ambassadors, ministers and councilors.
Approximately 300 activities were organized, such as tastings, cooking demos, competitions and presentations, which were thoroughly enjoyed by attendees, and allowed products to showcase their qualities and versatility.
The 29th edition of Salón de Gourmets was a resounding success. The 30th edition of the fair will be held from April 4th to the 7th, 2016.
