Oliduero takes home two golden 'cinves'

Wikispanishfood editorial team

OLIDUERO was awarded two golden "Cinves" at the prestigious competition held in Valladolid in March as part of the International Extra Virgin Olive Oil Tasting.

CINVE is a unique competition which includes wine, spirits, and extra virgin olive oils and in which producers, cooperatives and olive oil mills participate.

Oliduero Secret Blend is a Premium extra virgin olive oil made with an exact proportion of different types of olives (Arbequina, Arbosana and Picual, among others) from Oliduero's olive groves in Castile-León, specifically in Toro, Zamora and in Pozaldez, Valladolid. The exact amount of each olive, as well as the number and varieties used to produce the oil, is a secret of the olive oil maker.

Tasting notes

The oil has an intense aroma of vegetable notes, tomato plant, banana skin and ripe avocado. On the palate, it has a sweet entry and is oily with a noticeable spicy undertone.

Oliduero Ecológico is an extra virgin olive oil made solely from Picual, Arbequina and Arbosana olives from proprietary organic olive groves using mechanical procedures and cold extraction to maintain their organoleptic qualities.

Tasting notes

This is an intense green oil with a slightly golden hue. It has an intense fruity green olive aroma with light vegetable notes. On the palate it has a broad, dense entry, with a balance between bitter and piquant notes, with almond touches and a long aftertaste.
