Three Bodega Emina wines have been chosen as the official wines for the Teresa of Ávila, master of prayer (Teresa de Jesús, maestra de oración) exhibition by “Las Edades del Hombre”, inaugurated by Her Majesty Queen Sofia on March 23rd.
This is the 20th edition organized by the Las Edades del Hombre Foundation, and this year the sacred art exhibition will be on display in Ávila and Alba de Tormes.
The three wines chosen are part of a limited edition of 25,000 bottles and include the following: Emina Verdejo (DO Rueda), made with 100% Verdejo grapes; Emina Rosado (DO Cigales), made with Tempranillo and Verdejo grapes; and Emina Crianza (DO Ribera del Duero), which is made with Tempranillo grapes and spends 12 months in American and French oak barrels. The label was designed especially for the occasion, to commemorate the 5th centenary of the birth of Saint Teresa of Jesus.
As from this week, these Emina wines are available in various restaurants and bars in Ávila, Salamanca and in other provinces of Castile-León, and can also be purchased from the winery's online store, www.matarromerashop.com
