Wikispanishfood editorial team

Valdelosfrailes Rosado 2014 received a Gold Medal at the International Rosé Wine Competition in Cannes, organized by the French Union of Enologists. This is the most prestigious rosé wine competition in the world.

According to the organization, 900 wines from 28 countries around the world competed in this year's edition. The International Rosé Wine Competition is judged by 50 carefully chosen experts of renowned prestige representing 15 different nationalities.

Valdelosfrailes Rosado is a fresh, bright balanced wine made with grapes from proprietary vineyards in Quintanilla de Trigueros at the Terrón Blanco estate. Controlled fermentation draws out the intensity of the fruit with floral notes. It is a very clean, very bright wine which is cherry red in color with a purplish sheen. It has a high aromatic intensity and a broad range of red and black fruit, typical of Tempranillo; strawberries, raspberries and cherries mixed with subtle floral notes. It is very balanced and fresh on the palate due the perfect combination of slight acidity and lots of body.
