This week we shine a light on Matarromera group's Wanawine website. The group comprises several winemaking companies. In addition to wineries, it has a cosmetics line, a hotel in the country, olive oil and a distillery. It's also a pioneer in making alcohol-free wine.
Matarromera's wines extend through four Designations of Origin on the banks of the Duero River: Ribera del Duero, Rueda, Cigales and Toro. Quality is one of its hallmarks, and it has 415 hectares of proprietary vineyards with top-flight super-intensive plantations.
The group, which operates in more than 50 countries all over the world, is a leader in Spain's winemaking sector and its quality is based on its commitment to its vines, hard work and research.
The website Wanawine is where Matarromera sells it products online. The site features six product lines: wines, spirits, cosmetics, gourmet products, wine tourism and gifts.
The group's top products are featured on the homepage, as are links to the group's social media accounts, which include Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn. On the top left are two drop-down menus for Products and Gifts. Visitors can also access the group's various brands' e-commerce stores, including Cyan, Bodega Matarromera and ESDOR cosmetics.
To make a purchase, visitors add products to their virtual basket, which are then included on a shopping list with their individual prices and also the total. The left-hand side includes search filters which enable users to search based on a price range or brand, and they can also sort by price and name of product, in addition to other characteristics.
Clicking on each of the product images provides a description, which includes the production process, the winery it comes from and tasting notes (in the case of wines). There's also a section for customers to see their recent purchases and to access discounts towards future purchases. The bottom of the page includes the group's contact details and corporate information.
