The third edition of the Meat Industry Trade Fair, Meat Attraction, organized by IFEMA and the National Meat Processing Industries Association of Spain (Anice), will be held from September 17th to the 19th, 2019. Expectations are high for this event, as more than 400 companies are expected to participate, along with 20,000 professionals from more than 60 countries, in a year when there are no other events dedicated to just one segment of the market.
The fair, which will be held in Pavilion 12, will offer three times the space for the exhibition area, with an extensive program of parallel events in the same space, including cooking demos, presentations, B2Meat, etc.
Last year's edition, which was held in September 2018, saw a total of 163 companies participate, along with 400 brands from 16 countries. There were also 10,069 visitors from 43 countries, reflecting growth of 28.9% compared with the 2017 event. These figures show the potential of Spain's fourth-largest industry, and Meat Attraction is the perfect tool not only for showcasing it but also for boosting sales, supported by IFEMA.
With a new focus based on health and the sector's positive values, the third edition of Meat Attraction will offer priority registration from January 8th to March 27th, via www.meatattraction.com. The first meeting to discuss space and positioning of companies participating in Meat Attraction will take place on April 9th.
The fair is aligned with the Spanish meat industry's strategic plans and, with a view to contributing to its development and internationalization, the following objectives have been identified as part of its roadmap: to position Spain as one of the main international hubs for meat product sales; to position Spanish producers and sellers as among the best in the world; to boost the industry's visibility and defend its interests; and to strengthen market confidence. Initiatives like Meat Week will be implemented, as usual, as this year's event.
Meat Attraction 2019 will be based on three strategic pillars: sales, innovation and knowledge. Sales aims to provide the tools for helping the markets "get found:" the promotion of the 30 largest international import markets; the Guest Buyers' Program; B2Meat meetings organized by product category; and China, as the Guest Importer Country.
Innovation will be one of the main pillars for highlighting all of the sector's new creations and using it as one of the main methods for attracting professionals. Innovation will be showcased by highlighting companies' innovative capacity through the Innovation Hub and the Accelera Awards; presentations on innovation throughout the chain; by giving visibility to exhibitor's new creations; and also through the event's various information channels.
As for knowledge, in the coming months Meat Attraction will be present at the main industry events and will have an intense schedule of professional meetings at the following: the European Conference for Meat Distribution, DISTRIMEAT; the MEAT&ORGANIC Conference; the 10th World Conference on Ham; and MEATIC, on Automation and Digitalization.
