The Director of Meat Attraction, Carlos González García de la Barga, and the Chairman of the Organizing Committee and of the National Meat Processing Industries Association of Spain (ANICE)—which is jointly organizing the event—Alberto Jiménez, presented the second edition of the meat industry's fair, which will held from September 18th to the 20th, in pavilion 4 of IFEMA (the Trade Fair Institution of Madrid), to a group of representatives from around 30 countries.
Heads of trade and agriculture from the following embassies were in attendance: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Bulgaria, Egypt, the UAE, the US, Finland, France, Iran, Qatar, Malaysia, Morocco, Moldavia, Panama, Portugal, the UK and Northern Ireland, Russia, Senegal, Uruguay and Vietnam. They had expressed interest in learning more about the fair and its business orientation, Spanish meat available for export, and trade possibilities and advantages offered by Meat Attraction to professional visitors and buyers from their respective countries.
The meeting helped inform attendees about all of the details and the main features of the upcoming edition of Meat Attraction, which will bring together the meat industry (slaughterhouses, cutting rooms, processing companies, and firms specialized in storage and transport, and marketing) and the auxiliary industry (meat suppliers and distributors).
New features at the second edition of this event include Meat Attraction Buyers Meetings, which are B2B meetings with international buyers in priority markets, which are supported by ICEX Spain Trade and Investment through its network of commercial offices worldwide; reinforcing the buyers' program, by which IFEMA invites a group of international buyers, at the request of the exhibitors, depending on which markets are the most interesting; and organizing of an event about the future of meat and meat by-product distribution, and an area where exhibitors can showcase their innovative initiatives, along with new and trendy products.
Meat Attraction is the first professional fair of its kind specialized in the meat industry and held in Spain. It aims to guarantee a return on a moderate investment, increasing business opportunities for every part of the value chain.
