The organizing committee behind Meat Attraction, Spain's meat industry fair, highlighted at its meeting a few days ago the extremely positive reception of the new edition of the fair, a collaboration between IFEMA, the Trade Fair Institution of Madrid, and the National Meat Processing Industries Association of Spain (ANICE). The event, which will be held from October 18th to the 20th and will span 8,000 m2, is less than a month away, and more than 150 companies have already confirmed their attendance.
The number of international buyers was also viewed as favorable, an aspect in which the organizers have invested more than 300,000 euros aimed at attracting procurement managers who had been previously selected with the help of exhibiting companies, the goal being to contribute to internationalization, especially among SMEs. As a result, more than 170 buyers from close to 40 countries will attend the event.
All of the members of the organizing committee were present at the meeting and confirm that the industry will be fully represented at Meat Attraction, through meat sector companies and leading meat distribution, meat by-product and general business associations. The committee is chaired by Carlos Serrano, who also helms ANICE, the National Meat Processing Industries Association of Spain.
The organizing committee comprises leading companies and other top business associations, such as ANAFRIC and Cedecarne; interprofessional groups in the meat industry (ASICI, Interovic, Interporc and Provacuno); Mercasa, Mercamadrid and Mercamadrid Meat Companies; distribution associations (ASEDAS, ACES and ANGED); and industry experts such as Agrifood and Estrategias Alimentarias.
