Paradores de Turismo, one of the most prestigious hotel chains in Europe, has become the main showcase for olive oils for the second consecutive year. The initiative is part of the program organized by Aceites de Oliva de España, the Interprofesional del Aceite de Oliva Español's promotional brand, in cooperation with the European Union and Spain's Ministry of Agriculture, Food and the Environment.

From May 2nd to the end of 2015, guests at the 94 hotel restaurants will be able to participate in the Olive Oil Experience. Under the guidance of the maître d, they will discover extra virgin olive oils made with Arbequina, Cornicabra, Hojiblanca and Picual olives.

As a result of this initiative, Parador customers will be able to experience the immense variety of olive aromas and flavors, learning about the unique characteristics of extra virgin oils and their uses, from the comfort of their hotel.

Participants will also be take home a copy of Olive Oils. An Experience in Cuisines of the World, which highlights some of the most emblematic dishes from around the globe including traditional spring rolls from Asia, tiraditos (raw fish) from South America, tempura from Japan and hummus from Morocco. All of them have been prepared with the olive oil that best enhances their qualities.

Additionally, in May, the Paradores de Turismo will be celebrating Olive Oil Month. In addition to tastings at restaurants, fusion dinners will be served at a large number of hotels, where extra virgin oils will be the main feature, paired with a variety of dishes. There will also be desserts made with olive oil available in hotel cafés. Guests at a dozen hotels will also be able to participate in olive oil tourism, which includes visiting oil mills and enjoying olive oil treatments at the spa.
