Anuga was a resounding success

Anuga, the world's largest food and beverage fair, was a resounding success. Close to 155,000 visitors from 187 countries, 284,000 square meters of exhibition space, and 6,777 exhibitors.

This year, foreign participation accounted for 65%, making Anuga the largest platform in the world for food and beverage sales. The next edition of Anuga will be held from October 10th-14th, 2015.

Spain, value in exports

Spain had a very large presence at the fair, where 500 companies presented their products with a view to continue opening new international markets for Spanish products.

Jaén-based company Origen Novecientos presented its Novecientos Top extra virgin olive oil at Anuga. This gourmet product is a coupage of Picual, Picuda and Hojiblanca olives, which give it an intense, balanced flavor. The Picual variety yields excellent quality oil, with notable oleic acid content as well as a high stability index over time and at high temperatures. The oil is smooth and fruity, with an intense flavor.

Sant Aniol presented a new 25 cl package which puts the volcanic water's purity and properties on display in a stylish bottle, adding a distinct touch to a balanced water with a refined taste. The PET bottle is designed especially for catering sector companies who aim to stand out for their quality products.

Sweet tiny bites

Berlys presented its Mini GourmetPastries, designed especially for professionals and consumers with a penchant for exquisite flavors. These pastries are baked with top-flight ingredients, such as fresh butter made from the best milk cream, reflecting the expertise of experts bakers and pastry-makers. The most well-known and popular varieties are included in the most complete mini-pastry assortment on the market, which weigh it at between 9 and 30 grams and contain no trans fats.

Black Allium

Salsas JR has launched Black Allium garlic, a 100% Spanish product made with PGI Las Pedroñeras purple garlic. Black Allium is a completely black garlic with new and different organoleptic and nutritional characteristics.

Cuídate, with turkey

Gerona-based company Caula has brought its Cuídate line to market. The new products are made with turkey and low-fat meats. Longaniza and chorizo sausages made from turkey, with natural ingredients and olive oil, and without gluten or additives.

Like your mother's cream soups

IBSA brought its line of cream soups to Germany. These soups have all the flavor of traditional recipes, and consumers are sure to enjoy a nutritious, easy-to-prepare dish with the flavors of home. The delicious options, which come in transparent jars, include cream of zucchini, pumpkin, carrot, vegetable and peas.

Breadsticks and mantecados for the Arab market

Grupo San Roque Antequera highlighted interest by Middle Eastern countries in its breadsticks and mantecados (Spanish shortbread) made with extra virgin olive oil. The products are made with extra virgin olive oil, which align perfectly with the religious practices in the region.

Crok’s

Neules Artesanes also brought its miniature products to Anuga. Crok's are the company's smallest product, and go perfectly with coffee or tea. Those with a sweet tooth won't be able to resist the creamy wafer coated in the finest dark and white chocolate.

Señorío de Relleu: a gastronomic gift

Señorío de Relleu presented a white box with a festive, colorful watercolor design which conveys freshness, light, color, nature and water. Inside is a beautiful, innovate white aluminium bottle. When opened, it releases intense fruity aromas of fresh-cut grass, green almonds, fig trees and hay, with banana nuances... and inside is a wonderful intensely golden oil.

Organic pomegranate seed oil

Vitalgrana Pharma presented an organic pomegranate seed oil at Anuga, made with Mollar de Elche pomegranate, which contains Omega-5 fatty acids. It has many health benefits, attributable to its antioxidant content and anti-inflammatory power. It also helps reduce cholesterol and prevent heart disease.

Organic cookies

Trias, a company with a century of experience in cookies, brought its new box of organic "Teulas" and 175-gram decorated cans with four types of cookies to the food fair in Germany. Organic Teulas are made with the same original, 100-year-old almond cookie recipe. The cans contain wafer rolls (canutillos) filled with almond paste, "coco-choc" almond cookies made with coconut and chocolate chips, chocolate-filled "ventalls", and the traditional Teulas cookies.

Inés Rosales olive oil tortas

Andalusian company Inés Rosales, whose products are currently sold on five continents, brought two new items to Anuga: a Sugar-Free Olive Oil Torta, made with whole wheat flour (suitable for diabetics), and an Almond Sweet Olive Oil Torta, which was very popular. The company, which is committed to innovation, also debuted a new aluminium packaging with a light barrier, to better preserve Inés Rosales Olive Oil Tortas and also to better communicate what the tortas are and how they are eaten.

From land to jar

Bonnysa presented its new Sanflavino line of gourmet products, with authentic, unique flavors and comprising juices, soups, cold cream soups, sun-dried tomato and fruit. With these quality products, Bonnysa offers consumers natural flavors which are also easy to prepare. This line also includes its Spreadsto products, a range of spreads—patés, sauces and mousses—which go perfectly with every meal.
