Happy World Food Day

Ricardo Migueláñez, Editor of Qcom.es and Wiki Spanish Food

Today is a special day for all of us who work with agri-food issues. It's World Food Day, which is cause for celebration as it's that time of year when our efforts are more visible, which is truly rewarding. Everyone, everywhere, should celebrate this event and share it with those closest to them.

As for our bulletin, today's edition features many interesting articles. Spanish companies presented a number of new products at Anuga last week. We highlight them here so that you can become better acquainted with them and with the innovation taking place in Spain.

We've also included other content which we hope you'll enjoy, such as an interview with the head chef at Atrio restaurant, Toño Pérez, a prestigious "kitchen helper" as he calls himself, who has revolutionized Extremaduran gastronomy.

In this edition, we also look at how Spanish products are increasing their foothold in Africa. Libya and Tunisia have joined the ranks of now-stable countries such as Algeria, South Africa and Morocco as the leading importers of our foods.

Also, don't forget to read about why Spanish companies like Martín Códax, Canary Island Bananas and CAPSA are committed to society.

Have a great week.
