Meat Attraction is finally here. IFEMA (the Trade Fair Institution of Madrid) and the National Meat Processing Industries Association of Spain (ANICE) are working on the new fair, which will be held from October 18th to the 20th and which aims to create a business and innovation platform and promote the internationalization of companies in the Spanish meat industry's value chain.

As the fourth-largest industrial sector in the Spanish economy, with a sales volume of more than 22 billion euros and exports amounting to 5 billion euros, the meat industry has chosen IFEMA to organize this important specialized, professional event aimed at marketing and market diversification. All sector operators will be represented, both large companies and SMEs, and the event is expected to help develop the sector's notable export potential.

This fair, which is the sector's first to be held in Spain, will offer plenty of business and networking opportunities with every part of the production process, including slaughterhouses, cutting plants, processing companies, and firms specialized in storage and transport, and marketing and domestic and international distribution, to both the retail sector and to HoReCa.

Meat Attraction also caters to two large supply groups: producers, processors and distributors of meat and meat by-products on the one hand, and suppliers of the industry and meat distribution on the other.

The fair will facilitate business meetings, and it will promote national production based on a broad representation of products, which will be organized in two main exhibition areas. One will be fresh and frozen products, including a extensive range of meat by-products, products with PDO, IGP and TSG certifications and certification marks, and meats and meat by-products with organic, halal and kosher certification. The second area will display equipment and solutions for the industry and distribution.

Meat Attraction will be held in parallel with Fruit Attraction with a view to generating synergies in terms of communication and with supermarket procurement professionals at national and international institutions, for both meat products as well as for the ancillary industry, with a view to becoming the main fair for fresh foods in southern Europe.
