The Interprofessional Agri-food Organization for White Pigs (Interporc) will be in the Philippines from April 4th to the 10th with activities catering to the media, the goal being to raise the profile of its products and the promotional events it has planned. Interporc will organize activities for the importer and distribution segments and for HoReCa, to better inform people about pork's characteristics, thereby increasing its presence in sales channels and in the food offer at restaurants and hotels.
From April 7th to the 9th, Interporc will participate in Madrid Fusión Manila, where it will highlight the virtues of white Spanish pork, offal, cold cuts and cured and cooked hams, alongside Michelin-star chef Iván Cerdeño (El Carmen de Montesión restaurant, in Toledo). The Spanish sector has found the Philippines to be an enticing destination for three main reasons: it recently started permitting imports of our products, pork is consumed in large volumes, and the population's purchasing power is gradually increasing.
From April 10th to the 16th, Interporc will be in Japan, where it will organize several promotional events together with the Cervantes Institute in Tokyo as part of a collaborative framework with the latter. These actions will include presentations with prestigious top bloggers and the media, which will be able to convey a strong message about Interporc’s products to their followers.
From April 13th to the 15th, Interporc will participate in the Fabex Tokyo Trade Fair (Japan Meat Industry Fair), promoting pork and processed products alongside another Michelin-star chef, Kisko García (El Choco restaurant, in Córdoba).
Consumption of Spanish pork and processed products is on the rise among Japanese consumers.
Interporc's Internationalization Plan will continue in 2016, on the heels of successful actions launched in Japan, South Korea and Mexico in the first quarter of the year. The association's next destination is Italy, where it will organize activities at the end of April.
